It is a major center of automotive and chemical industries, as well as rail, river and road transport. The population of Tolyatti is about 685,600 (2023), the area - 315 sq. km.

Togliatti is also known for museums. The AvtoVaz Museum is the most popular in the city. Here, you can see exclusive vehicles and all the models of the cars that have been released over the years of the Russian plant’s existence.
